The annual Seafood Expo North America trade show brings tens of thousands of exhibitors and attendees to Boston’s Convention and Exhibition Center. The show takes up the entire floor of the convention center (a little over a half million square feet) and rows numbered 100 to 3300 offer attendees a chance to see everyone connected to the seafood industry. Fisherman, farms, country pavilions, processors, equipment manufacturers and vendors to the industry gather at this, the largest show of its kind held annually in North America.

CFI is here again (booth 170 – come by and see us and enter to win a drone that we’ll ship to you after the show) and in force. Seafood is a key part of what we do in all of our fourteen US locations and our team that is here is representing nearly all those offices.

Many of our vendor partners including airlines and truckers are here, and we take the chance to connect with them in person to discuss market conditions, capacity and review service on behalf of our customers to ensure that they are continuing to meet the high standards that we set for them as well as for ourselves.

We are also focused on connecting with customers who work with us in single and multiple locations, especially since we have our senior management here from Hawaii, Anchorage, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Boston, key gateways for our seafood customers. It is a great chance to get to talk during the show and network in the evening at any of a host of activities held at the conference venue and offsite.

The show enters its second day tomorrow and we’ll be starting it by attending the Salmon Council meeting at 9. CFI are proud affiliate members of the National Fisheries Institute. We are also well versed in the handling needs for salmon as our customers ship wild-caught salmon from Alaska and the Pacific Northwest and from farms around the globe.

For more information about what we’re doing at Seafood Expo, I’d like to encourage you to visit our Facebook page where I’m also live-streaming a few times a day from the event. We’re happy to share the show experience with everyone and if you’re in Boston, we hope you’ll swing by booth 170 and see us.
