Commodity Forwarders is looking for a full time Customer Service Representative to fill a position within our Operations department. This is a non-exempt position with a rate between $20 – $24/hr. depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Honolulu Branch.

Location: Honolulu, HI

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday between 7:30am – 4:00pm

Your Role:

• Ensure successful movement of cargo from origin to destination to fulfill customer’s and vendor’s satisfaction
• Keep clear communication with the customers and vendors
• Assure all freight forwarding activities abide by all government laws and regulations at origin and destination, and all necessary reports and records are complete, timely, and accurate
• Coordinate with customs brokers to obtain release documents in timely manner
• Accurately process claim paperwork with carriers
• Assure all import files provided to the warehouse are complete
• Coordinate all necessary deliveries while following the guidelines
• Assist departments’ sales effort to achieve the goals for new sales and customer retention
• Maintain strong product knowledge and provide support to the sales team
• Support other stations or departments
• Process accurate billing within necessary period

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent but College or Associate Degree is a plus
• Eligible to work in the US and pass TSA background check
• 1-2 years Customer Service experience in logistics
• Critical Thinking
• Problem Solving
• Basic Computer Skills including e-mail, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Strong grasp of geography to determine best freight forwarding routes
• Excellent customer service and vendor relations skills
