For nearly fifty years, Commodity Forwarders has been the industry leader in transporting perishable foodstuffs and related products. This is only possible because of a layered approach to cool chain, our people, and our technology. Whether fresh or frozen, Commodity Forwarders’ experience transporting produce, seafood, meat, flowers, and foodstuffs throughout continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska and to the rest of the world is unparalleled.
Commodity Forwarders, Inc. was incorporated in 1974 by Alfred Kuehlewind as a one-person office in Los Angeles, specializing in perishable products; primarily strawberries to Europe, via air. Present day – Our agent relationships in the mid-Atlantic, Gulf, and southeastern United States in cities such as Washington, DC, Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston allow Commodity Forwarders to handle customized temperature-sensitive cargo programs nationwide.
The diverse needs of farmers, fishermen, ranchers, and consumers means CFI is strategically located where these industries grow, harvest, process, and consume the products we move. CFI provides global air connectivity for American exports and provides a variety of cold-chain-related handling and on-forwarding services for imported and domestically shipped products within the United States.
